Fun with the 'rents

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you." Exodus 20:12

Think of a few activities, projects, sports, hobbies, past-times, or goals you enjoy doing with your dad and your mom. Take initiative to spend time with your parents doing these things! I guarantee your dad and mom will be over the moon when you ask them to do something they enjoy with you! 

The first commandment with a promise is Exodus 20:12, which means that God is serious about children honoring their parents. Ask the Lord to fill you with honor and love for your parents and pray about fun ways to grow in your relationship with your mom and dad. 

They might not be perfect parents but they are God's perfect parents for you!
