"the Word of our God stand forever," Isaiah 40:8
Wow - forever! Our human minds cannot even begin to fathom how long forever is! When you think about forever, I pray you see everything with an kingdom perspective. You are constantly bombarded by temporary trappings of this world. Accomplishments, paychecks, leadership positions, that "Spring Break Bod," nice clothes, or attention from guys all promise to give you lasting satisfaction, joy and fulfillment. King's daughter, at the end of your life, none of it will matter. "For dust you are and to dust you will return," Gen. 3:19.
As you go about your day, prayerfully surrender your your conversations, purchases, thoughts, decisions, and priorities to the Lord. He will give you discernment to see what is temporary and what is eternal. Your all powerful King will show you how to make everything you do glorify Him, extend His kingdom and last in eternity. Everything done to glorify yourself or to earn status in this world will fade and fall. Everything done to glorify the Lord and extend His kingdom will last forever!
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
